Last modified: 27. September 2024

The structure of the Department provides a solid foundation for fulfilling modern educational, research, and market-oriented service tasks in environmental analysis and environmental technology. The groups within the Department represent distinct scientific disciplines, yet are able to collaborate effectively as a unified entity, which is indispensable for the technical-chemical knowledge base. This ensures that the Department offers high-quality support for teaching a broad spectrum of specialized subjects, which are integrated into the curriculum at all levels of education. With decades of research experience and laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art instruments, the Department also provides the technical background necessary for research projects. Its resources enable the successful execution of external service examinations and specialized consultations at a high standard.

The Department oversees the Isotope Laboratory, which is part of the Institute’s common certified laboratories, playing a crucial role in supporting both educational and research activities. Additionally, the External Department for Waste Management (Profikomp Zrt.) operates independently from the Institute but serves as a key base for practical training, particularly in the Environmental Engineering program, offering significant support for hands-on learning and skill development.
