István Ágoston Láng

Born in 1962 in Mosonmagyaróvár. In 1987, he obtained a master's degree in civil engineering from the Budapest University of Technology, specializing in hydraulic engineering. From 2008 to 2012, he served as the head of departments at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Water Management, as well as the Ministry of Rural Development. Between 2012 and 2018, he held the position of Deputy Technical Director-General at the National Water Directorate. Since 2018, he has been the Director-General. He has received professional recognition, including the MHT ProAqua award in 2006, Extraordinary Persistence Merit Badge in Gold in 2013, Public Service Merit Badge in Silver in 2013, and the Jenő Kvassay Memorial Medal in 2018.
