Responsibilities:
- Promoting the use of environmentally friendly irrigation technologies.
- Studying the material flow of the soil-plant-water system and the uptake of nutrients.
- Maintenance breeding and seed production of nationally recognized rice varieties.
- Breeding of new rice varieties.
- Development of rice agro-technology.
- Preservation and examination of the rice variety collection.
Participation in the following areas:
- Development of regional and rural development programs.
- Preparation of studies and technological plans.
- Consultation, demonstration, and reference activities.
- Expert work in the preparation and implementation of domestic and international development programs.
- Specialized middle and higher education, postgraduate training.
- Organization and conduct of domestic and international professional development courses.
- Organization and conduct of professional events.
